Ongoing thru March 31st All high school seniors are encouraged to apply for the 2010 United Way Volunteer Community Service Award, featuring a $500 award providing assistance with educational support including books, transportation, and tuition with a career goal of entering a helping profession. ONGOING thru March 31st Spring Hunter Education Classes have been scheduled for some communities in northwest Montana. All hunter education classes are free of charge and open to the public. By law, anyone born after January 1, 1985, must have completed the Hunter Education Course to buy a hunting license in the state of Montana. A parent or guardian must accompany students under age 18 to sign the registration form. Registration will take place at Thad's Tackle Shop in Olney from March 1st thru March 31st and classes are scheduled from 6:00-8:30pm at the Olney Fire Hall on April 7th, 12th, 14th, 19th, 21st, and the field course and written test is scheduled for April 22nd.
