The Lake County Commissioners are planning a community forum to address
residents' continuing questions about their 2026 property tax bills.
The meeting will take place at the Ronan Community Center on November 24,
from 6 to 8 p.m. All County residents with questions about how tax bills are prepared
and how the County spends tax dollars are invited to attend.
The County Commissioners, Treasurer, Chief Financial Officer, and other
County officials will present the information.
The forum will present information that is intended to help taxpayers
understand how their bills are prepared and why many residents saw significant
increases in their bills. Its purpose is not to criticize or blame any State department or
legislators for the financial crisis many of our taxpayers face because of ever-increasing
property taxes.
