Brawl of the Wild Grizzlies vs. Bobcat Football Weekend Expect increased patrols in Missoula on Griz/Cat weekend

The annual Brawl of the Wild game between the University of Montana Grizzlies and the Montana State Bobcats will take place on Saturday, November 22nd, bringing thousands of fans to Missoula for one of the state’s most anticipated sporting events. As you make plans for the weekend, the Missoula Police Department is asking the public to also plan ahead for a sober way home.
The Missoula Police Department will have increased traffic enforcement throughout the weekend, with an emphasis on identifying impaired drivers and ensuring safe travel for everyone on Missoula’s roadways. As always, MPD will be partnering with local public safety agencies to support a coordinated and safe weekend for all fans and visitors.
Driving with a blood alcohol content (BAC) of .08 or higher is illegal in Montana, and consequences for DUI charge can include license suspension, mandatory classes, potential jail time, and fines and legal fees that can total up to $10,000.
We are asking everyone to make responsible choices this weekend. If alcohol is part of your plans, arrange a sober ride before you go out. A safe trip home protects you, your passengers, and the entire community.
MPD encourages all fans to plan transportation in advance and always wear a seatbelt.
The Missoula Police Department wishes everyone a safe and enjoyable Brawl of the Wild weekend.
