Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes Food Sovereignty Program to Host Community Health Corps Montana Members

The Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes are pleased to announce that the CSKT Food Sovereignty Program has been selected as a host site for Community Health Corps Montana, a statewide AmeriCorps service program coordinated by the Montana Office of Rural Health and Area Health Education Center at Montana State University.

Through this partnership, two AmeriCorps members will join the Food Sovereignty Program to support efforts that strengthen access to healthy, locally produced, and culturally rooted foods across the Flathead Reservation. These members will serve from January through August 2026 and will take part in direct community engagement, program support, and professional skill development.

Community Health Corps Montana members receive hands-on work experience, training, and mentorship while contributing meaningful service to Montana communities. This is an opportunity for individuals who are interested in public health, education, food systems, community wellness, or tribal community service.
