FLIC Film Festival Summer Encore coming to Polson

The Flathead Lake International Cinemafest (FLIC) film festival is a wintertime
favorite among its attending filmmakers and supportive regional audience. Now
entering its 15th annual festival season, FLIC brings international films and
cultural enrichment to Polson and beyond.
Over the years, FLIC producers David and Jessica King — as well as Showboat
Stadium 6 owners Becky and Gary Dupuis — have often heard Polson’s summer
residents lament, “We wish FLIC weren’t in the winter!” Or, “I’ve heard about
FLIC, but we’re never here while it’s going on!”
The Kings and Dupuis came up with a welcome fix. David King explains, “We all
thought it made good sense to bring FLIC 2026’s entire slate of 51 domestic and
international films back to Polson for a week-long summer encore. So, with the
Dupuis’ help, that’s what we’re doing.”
FLIC’s winter film festival lineup returns to Polson for the FLIC 2026 Summer
Encore, with four screening blocks running daily from Friday, July 24th (the eve of
Polson’s popular Cherry Festival weekend) through Thursday, July 30th.
Open to the public, FLIC features a wide variety of full-length narrative and
documentary features, shorts, animation, and student films. FLIC 2026 Summer
Encore features films from 22 countries as well as many homegrown Montana
films. Screening blocks can include a half-dozen films or a single feature length
film. As they say, “There’s something for everyone.”
Check the online FLIC program at FLICPolson.com for the screening schedule,
film descriptions, and additional information. Individual screening block tickets
may be purchased at the box-office for $7.50. For those wanting to attend most
of the festival, FLIC 2026 Summer Encore All-Access Passes are also available
for $50 at the Showboat Stadium 6. FLIC is also on Facebook, where information
is updated regularly.
