Juvenile Arrest Made Following Threats Against Flathead High School FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Date: January 4, 2026 Contact: Kalispell Police Department Phone: 406-758-7780 Kalispell, MT — The Kalispell Police Department has arrested a juvenile male in connection with threats made against Flathead High School. The arrest followed a thorough investigation conducted over the weekend after the threats were brought to our attention. Throughout the investigation, the Kalispell Police Department worked closely with Kalispell Public School District 5 and the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office to identify the individual responsible and ensure the safety of students, staff, and the broader community.

During the course of the investigation, additional criminal activity was identified and evidence was collected. The juvenile has been charged with separate crimes identified during the investigation. The investigation into the threats remains ongoing. Due to the individual’s age, no additional identifying information will be released. The safety of our community’s children is the Kalispell Police Department’s number one priority. We take all threats against our schools seriously and will continue to respond swiftly and thoroughly to any actions that place our students, schools, or community at risk.
