Saturday, Oct. 25, Montana Red Cross will host free, in-person disaster response training in Polson

When disaster strikes in Montana — whether it’s a wildfire, home fire or another emergency — it’s local volunteers who are often first on the scene to offer comfort and critical support. The Red Cross is working to grow that network in Northwest Montana.
On Saturday, Oct. 25, Montana Red Cross will host free, in-person disaster response training in Polson for residents of Lake, Lincoln and Flathead counties. The all-day session (8 a.m.–5 p.m. at the Polson Rural Fire District Station, 25b Regatta Road) will teach participants how to provide care and assistance to families affected by local disasters. Meals and snacks are included.
We’d greatly appreciate coverage in advance of the training to help encourage more community members to sign up and take part.
