KALISPELL, Montana – Flathead Electric Cooperative plans brief power outages on the morning of Monday, June 23 at 9 a.m. and the afternoon of Thursday, June 26 at 3 p.m., in the Lakeside area. These outages are both expected to last approximately 5 minutes. These outages are necessary due to the expansion of a nearby substation, which will augment Lakeside’s electric reliability.
Approximately 2,900 Lakeside area members of Flathead Electric Cooperative will be impacted. The Co-op will place automated texts and calls to members affected by the planned outages. Lakeside area residents are encouraged to look carefully at maps reflecting the planned outage, as some parts of their communities are impacted, and others are not. Areas and lines impacted are shown in red in the maps below.
