S&K Gaming, LLC Sets an Opening Date for 400 Horses Casino
Polson, Montana — April 14, 2026 — S&K Gaming, LLC, a proud enterprise of the Confederated Salish
and Kootenai Tribes, officially established the highly anticipated opening date for the new state-of-the-
art facility that represents the next chapter in the company’s continued commitment to innovation, job
creation, and tribal economic development – 400 Horses Casino.
S&K Gaming, LLC would like to formally invite Tribal Elders and leadership, honored guests, news
media, organization executives, community members, and local dignitaries to join in the opening
ceremonies located at 100 Irvine Flats Road in Polson Montana, on Tuesday, May 5, 2026 at 2pm to
celebrate the momentous occasion, which marks the completion and official opening of a project
designed to enhance entertainment offerings, support economic sustainability, and create new
opportunities across the region.

**About Us:**
Established in 2006 by the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes, S&K Gaming, LLC oversees
general gaming management and serves as a significant revenue source for the tribes. We operate
various tribal-owned businesses, including Gray Wolf Peak Casino, KwaTaqNuk Resort and
Casino, S&K Polson Bay Marina, Big Arm Resort & Casino, 400 Horses Casino with a focus on
fostering hospitality, memorable entertainment, and job creation to benefit our community.
When were the original plans approved to move forward with the facility?
o We have worked on renovation or construction in some form since 2022. The project has taken a
few different directions regarding location, size, and scope from 2022-2024. In late 2024, SKG
approved the plans that reflect today’s final version.
• Broke ground on April 9, 2025
• Open date on May 5, 2026
• Location – 100 Irvine Flatts Road – just north of the Polson airport
• Parking – Over 400 spaces
• Size of the facility is approximately 34,000 SF
• Game Types – Class 2 Slots and Class 2 Electronic Table Games
• Number of machines – Over 300 to start with, plans to increase to approximately 400
• Will there be table games i.e. blackjack, craps, Poker, BINGO?
o Live table games, are not permitted. Poker and Bingo are always possibilities, just not in the
immediate plans.
• When do you plan to add the hotel, event center and RV Park?
o Future expansions are on our radar, along with a number of great projects. There is no timeline for
the next phase.
• Job opportunities created – More than 75 new positions.
• Do we plan on expanding beyond the current acreage SKG currently has at this location?
o We have 10.5 acres leased on the 79 acre tract. So expansion is possible, just not planned at this
time.
• When will the improved intersection be in place to mitigate traffic and what will that look like?
o We are actively designing the intersection improvements. SKG has met with MDT personnel and
received comments related to the proposed design. We plan on having the design completed and
then put it out for bid and construction.
• Naming 400 Horses Casino:
o In January 2025 a platform was created to engage the community and beyond in submitting ideas
and reasoning for a new proposed casino name. The winner – Robert H. provided
recommendation of 400 Horses Casino – TmÉ«x̣ƛ̓cÃn h Chief Alexander who was directly
responsible for the forming of the confederated Salish Kootenai tribes (cskt) was also known as
‘No Horses’ a humble name taken as an opposite to the reality of a person’s possessions. No
Horses was said to be very wealthy at the end of his life and owned around 400 horses.
• Restaurant and Bar – Named 371 Bar and Grill – Direct relation to the max depth of Flathead Lake.
Includes inside and outside patio seating of roughly 70 guests. Menu featuring a variety of options from
wagyu burgers to crème brulee
