The City of Kalispell and Flathead County are eligible to submit an application to the Montana Department of Commerce for a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and/or a Montana Home Investment Partnership Program Grant (HOME).

A combined hearing to inform a grant application will be held by the City of Kalispell and Flathead County, at 1:00 p.m., December 4, 2025, in the Kalispell City Council Chambers located in the Kalispell City Hall at 201 First Avenue East. The purpose of this hearing is to obtain the views of community residents, especially low/moderate income residents, regarding community development needs and priorities of the City of Kalispell and Flathead County for economic development, housing and neighborhood revitalization and public facilities to inform the application. The CDBG program is administered by the State of Montana Department of Commerce and will make available to eligible local governments funding for housing, economic development, public facilities, public infrastructure, and planning activities, with the principal purpose of benefitting low/moderate income persons. The hearing will provide further information about the CDBG program and will allow for citizen participation in the development of any proposed grant applications.
