Release from Flathead County Sheriff’s Office reference incident on 2/14/25.

Media Release Swat Call 2.14.25

On February 14, 2025 at 9:42 pm Flathead County deputies were dispatched to 569 Swan Mountain Village Dr in
Evergreen for a report of people yelling and screaming. The 911 caller advised he had heard the disturbance and
observed a male outside of 569 with a pistol and was possibly pointing it at someone else. When deputies arrived, they
could hear the suspect outside yelling profanities and causing a disturbance. The suspect then went inside the
residence. Flathead County Sheriff Deputies and officers with the Kalispell Police Department set up a perimeter around
the residence and attempted to call the suspect outside. The suspect came in and out of the residence several times,
failing to follow officer commands. At 10:30 pm the male suspect came back out and yelled at the officers and began to
actively shoot at law enforcement. Officers returned fire and the suspect retreated back into the garage of the
residence.
The Northwest Montana Regional SWAT team was dispatched. Once on scene they continued to attempt to contact the
male with limited success. Gas was deployed into the residence with no results. The garage was eventually breached
and the male suspect continued to ignore commands. A K9 was deployed and was successful in holding the male so he
could be placed under arrest.
At this time the incident is still under investigation by the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office and the Montana Department
of Criminal Investigation, and more details will be released when information in available.
