Polson, Montana – May 8, 2025 – Polson High School will be hosting a Senior Decision Day
event on Monday, May 12th from 12:00-1:05pm in the auditorium to celebrate the
post-secondary plans of our graduating seniors. Decision Day is part of Montana’s college access
initiative and an extension of College Application Week that is held in the fall. This annual event
has been taking place at Polson High School since 2019.
Inspired by the tradition of athletic signing ceremonies, this program celebrates all students who
have committed to pursuing further education or employment after high school. During the
event, seniors will be honored for their decisions to enroll in community colleges, technical
programs, private colleges, public universities, enlist in the military, or enter the workforce
directly. Community members will attend to recognize scholarship recipients, and representatives
from colleges and the military will be present to celebrate student achievements. Beyond
honoring our graduates, Senior Decision Day aims to foster a college-going culture across all
grade levels by promoting awareness of higher education, career, technical, and military
opportunities.
